A long parcel is any item over 100cm in length. Items that exceed a combined length and girth of 300cm are subject to a large package surcharge. Items over 70kg or over 270cm in length are subject to an over maximum size surcharge. For packages with a combined length and girth over 400cm, contact your local CSM branch for an alternative service and bespoke quote. If you are unsure whether your item falls into these categories, your account manager can advise based on your item's exact dimensions.

CSM's large parcel courier service covers a wide range of items including surfboards, paddle boards, skis, snowboards, pool cues, fishing rods, furniture and other long or oversized products. If your item exceeds 100cm in length or falls outside standard parcel dimensions, contact your local CSM branch to confirm the right service before booking.

CSM can accommodate items up to 3 metres in length. For items above 3 metres, please contact your local CSM branch to discuss alternative service options. Very large shipments can also be handled through air, sea and road freight services via CSM's associate companies AFFA and Sandrair.

Pricing for large parcel courier services is based on the item's dimensions, weight and destination. A large package surcharge applies to items over a combined length and girth of 300cm, charged at a minimum of 40kg. Yes. Large parcel courier services are available for international delivery to most worldwide destinations. Economy road and air express services cover EU destinations. Economy express and air express services are available to the rest of the world. For very large international shipments, full load and part load freight services are available through CSM's associate companies AFFA and Sandrair. Contact your local CSM branch to discuss your international large parcel requirements.

CSM recommends ensuring your item is packaged securely enough to withstand the rigours of transport before collection. For long items, use plenty of protective wrapping to minimise the risk of damage during transit. Additional handling charges apply to items not fully encased in cardboard, items encased in metal or wood, items in plastic wrapping and items over 110cm in length or where the second longest side exceeds 70cm. Your account manager can advise on packaging requirements for your specific item before collection is arranged.

If a large parcel cannot be delivered or is refused, it will be returned to the carrier's depot at the account holder's expense. For international destinations outside the EU, local customs charges may also apply. All CSM large parcel deliveries are fully tracked, so you can monitor your item's progress through your online account portal at any time.
