Can you help with import duty and tax paperwork?
Given the recent changes made in the wake of Brexit, import taxes and levies could seem confusing. In this situation, we can be of assistance, and if you have a deferment account, we’ll handle everything on your behalf. There is no need to worry if you don’t have a deferment account. If so, the carrier will contact CSM, and we’ll inform you of the amount owed. We understand how important it is for you to have complete assurance that import duties and taxes are paid, so we are constantly reachable by phone or email if you have any queries or concerns.
Can you import large consignments?
In short, yes we can import large consignments and we understand that in the automotive industry items are often out of size. If you have something really large or out of size, please contact your nearest CSM branch with the details of what you want to import and we’ll take care of the rest, it really is that easy!

A commercial invoice will be required which must include a sender EORI number and Consignee EORI number (if applicable for B2B deliveries). The correct commodity codes, full description of the shipment and contact details for both parties must also be included.
Yes, shipments can clear in transit or on arrival to their destination.
The time it takes to clear customs will be dependent on what customs processes are deemed to be required. For further information please contact your local CSM branch.
Our couriers don’t use clearing agents as they have their own in-house customs teams.
You must include a Sender EORI and Consignee EORI number (if applicable), the correct commodity codes, a full shipment description and contact details for both parties. If any other information is required this will be specified and will be handled on a case by case basis.
